Getting Started with Glued Lash Clusters
Glued Lash Clusters
Step by Step
A little more prep than press-on, but worth it for the longer hold and salon-quality finish. Here's everything you need to know.
- Lash clusters (in varying lengths)
- Bond (lash glue)
- Sealant
- Lash remover
- Tweezers made for glued lashes
- Black lash wand
If you didn't buy a starter pack, make sure you have all of the above before starting. The lash wand is optional but helpful.
- Wash your face and ensure lashes are clean and oil-free — use an oil-free cleanser or micellar water
- No mascara — clusters go on bare lashes
- Place a mirror below face level so you're looking down into it — much easier for placement
- Work in a well-lit area
Using the applicator, lightly brush the bond onto the underside of your natural lashes near the base — not the waterline, and not your skin. A little goes a long way. If you apply too much, use the lash wand to remove some and separate the lashes.
- Use tweezers to gently pick up a lash cluster
- Start from the outer corner of your eye and work inwards
- Apply the cluster underneath your natural lashes, about 1mm from the lash line — not touching skin
- Press the cluster gently upward to attach
Not sure what size to start with? Try a few 12mm in the outer corner, working inwards. Place a 14mm in the middle of your eye, then back to 12mm and finish with a 10mm in the inner corner. That's a solid starter look.
Once all clusters are placed, squeeze your natural lashes and the clusters together with tweezers or fingers for about 5 seconds per section. This locks them in. If you've used a lot of glue, fingers work better than tweezers for this step.
Apply a tiny amount of sealer to the base of the clusters. This removes tackiness and extends wear significantly.
- Apply the remover directly to the base of your lashes using the applicator
- Let it sit for 30–60 seconds, then gently massage it into the lashes
- Use fingers or tweezers to slide clusters off gently
- Wash your eyes with water and pat dry
- Clean your natural lashes with oil-free cleanser
- With gentle removal and cleaning, clusters can be reused 2–4 times
- Clean with micellar water and store dry
- Don't attempt this for the first time when you're running late. It might look easy on Instagram, but the first 2–3 applications take most people 20+ minutes. That's completely normal — it gets much faster.
- Start with shorter clusters until you master the technique
- Use a magnifying mirror angled below you — looking down makes placement so much easier
- Practice on one eye first before committing to both
